Prefeitura de Goiânia realiza 20º Encontro de Folia de Reis e 4º Encontro de Catira, neste domingo (29/01)
No total, participam 45 grupos de folia e catira, além da Orquestra de Violeiros de Pontalina (GO). O tema deste ano é “O Rosário – A mãe acolhe seus filhos. As bem-aventuranças: Uma nova maneira de viver”. As atrações são gratuitas, e ocorrem na Igreja Matriz de Campinas, a partir das 6h
A Prefeitura de Goiânia, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura (Secult), realiza, neste domingo (29/01), na Igreja Matriz de Campinas, o 20º Encontro de Folia de Reis e o 4º Encontro de Catira. O tema deste ano, que marca o retorno do evento pós-pandemia, é “O Rosário – A mãe acolhe seus filhos. As bem-aventuranças: Uma nova maneira de viver”. As atrações são gratuitas.
A programação tem início às 6h com a Alvorada Festiva. Em seguida, às 7h, ocorre a Missa dos Foliões, no Santuário Basílica Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro, também conhecida como a Igreja Matriz de Campinas. Na sequência será realizada a abertura oficial e logo depois os grupos iniciam as apresentações, que estão previstas para todo o dia.
Neste ano, o evento reúne grupos de catira e folia de diversas cidades de Goiás. “Ficamos dois anos sem realizar evento por conta da pandemia. Estamos muito felizes em poder retomar com os foliões e catireiros. Eles aguardaram muito por este encontro, para celebrar essa manifestação popular muito tradicional”, afirma o secretário de Cultura de Goiânia, Zander Fábio.
Divina Delfina, umas das foliãs, garante que domingo é um dia muito aguardado por quem cresceu participando da tradição. “Para nós, poder participar do encontro é uma alegria sem tamanho. Quem é folião, quem foi criado na folia, sabe do que eu estou falando. Nos emocionamos em estar juntos, em cantar as músicas, em ver tantos amigos, comer uma comida gostosa. Agradecemos à Secult e à prefeitura pelo empenho na realização do evento”, diz Divina.
